Loving and living life. Posting the happenings in our adventure together so you can keep up.
Coach and me after some dancing, David and Coach busting a move, and Sarah getting as low as she could for the "a little bit softer now" part of "Shout".
After camp ended, we went down for the last full week in August to Wild Dunes, SC for Coach's family vacation. Our friends, Alison and Addrian came down for a couple of days to hand out. We practiced the SHAG at the pavilion, played tennis and bocce, relaxed on the beach, and drove around in the resort's free rental BMW's all week. It was a much needed break from our summer at camp. I wish we were still there.
More of the fun. After Dancing, we needed some rest.
As we all know, summer is always best when spent at Camp Seafarer (and Sea Gull for Coach)! This summer was a wonderfully busy time filled with lots of memories and fun. Although hot and tiresome, working at camp is one of the most rewarding jobs I have ever had and this summer was no different. Being a Head Counselor was the MOST fun, and also the MOST challenging position I have had yet. Combine that with Coach taking on a new full-time professional job for camp, and you have one hectic summer! Regardless of the schedule, we threw in two spectacular weddings and we even made time for a little relaxing fun here and there. So, enjoy the pictures as I attempted to highlight some of the things that went on with us this summer.
The Air Staff gearing up for some time on the Neuse River and the Fourth of July parade, two great pilots, the turtles on opening day, and Coach and me figuring out the apparent candy situation at the dance.
A great quote by which I believe all should live: "We must always change, renew, rejuvenate ourselves; otherwise we harden." ~Johann von Goethe (Faust)
